Jean De Florette Review: Part 2

This movie is much more interesting than I originally thought. I like the way they play with the concept of God and his power over the temporal world. The plot is interesting though I did see injury from the dynamite coming from a mile away. I was surprised that the Cadorets left the farm. I thinking the acting is flawless; it's interesting to see the journey that good actors can send you on when there are no bad actors to ruin the feel. I enjoy the realistic character flaws and I can't wait to see the second part of the movie.

Jean De Florette Review: Part 1

The characters in this movie are extremely interesting though I do feel that I could type cast them with little effort. The storyline is interesting because it's different. I don't think I've seen greed and scheming displayed in such a realistic and normal context. I understand that the movie is a french movie and expect the ending to be sad. I expect little from this movie in terms of surprising plot twists or character development. However, I am enjoying the portrayals of characters and settings; it shows me the attitude and mindset of the French.
